Wyoming Humanities Calendar, July 20-26

This week brings the council’s summer board meeting! So if you’re in or near Lander, please stop by and say hello. The meeting starts at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, July 24, at the Lander Best Western Inn.

Another interesting humanities opportunity comes fromĀ  Dr. Mary Keller, who teaches for the Religious Studies Program at the University of Wyoming. All week, Dr. Keller will be leading easy walks near Cody, during which she will also lead discussions of world religious traditions. Monday’s walk will focus on Indigenous Religions; Tuesday’s on Hinduism; Wednesday’s on Buddhism; Thursday’s on Judaism; and Friday’s on Islam. Walks will be offered twice each day, at 6:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.; the cost is $20 each or $90 for all five walks. Monday’s, Wednesday’s, and Friday’s walks will depart from the parking lot of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center; Tuesday’s and Thursday’s walks will depart from the parking lot near the gate of Beck Lake Park. The walks last about 50 minutes. Please arrive 15 minutes early. You can contact Dr. Keller at mkeller(at)uwyo.edu (replace (at) with @).
